Erik Hawkins
CEO & Co-Founder
Erik has over twelve years of digital media experience in senior product and sales roles. As the SVP of Product & Strategy at IAC's Citysearch, Erik and his team transformed a money-losing, static city guide into a dynamic and profitable local search engine. At Yahoo!, he won millions in new business from major brand advertisers, and was recognized as the company's outstanding account executive. Erik began his career as a Russian interpreter in the U.S. Army, where he ranked as one of the military's top Russian linguists, and received commendations for both military intelligence and humanitarian aid contributions. Erik resides in Dana Point with his wife and daughters.
Greg Morrow
COO & Co-Founder
Greg has fifteen years of digital media experience. Under Greg's product and marketing leadership, Yahoo! Music became the largest streaming media destination in the world. He subsequently launched Yahoo! Music in nine different countries. He was the founder and CEO of MusicVideos.com, which was acquired by LAUNCH.com, the predecessor to Yahoo! Music, in 1999.
Chris Mauro
Vice President, Programming
Chris Mauro is a 20-year veteran of the action sports industry. The former pro surfer had extensive backgrounds in sales, marketing and retail before jumping full time into media in 1998. While his work covered all of action sports, as Editor of Surfer Magazine he became one of the most authoritative voices in the industry, which led him to books, radio and television roles. Today Mauro oversees the entire field of action sports editors.
Elisabeth Murray
Vice President, Sales Strategy
Prior to joining Grind Networks, Elisabeth honed her skills at Yahoo!, where she was responsible for the creation of successful anchor sales programs for Yahoo! Music. In this role, Elisabeth helped generate tens of millions of brand advertising dollars from a long list of Fortune 500 companies, including Nissan, Pepsi, Saturn, Mars, Verizon Wireless and Nokia. Later, she was a key member of the Yahoo! Originals business unit, where she developed brand media packages and sponsorships tied to original programming.
Elisabeth began her online career at a number of music start-ups including Internet Music, Inc. (founded by Jan Renner) and Tonos, Inc. (founded by Carol Bayer Sager, David Foster and Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds.) There she gained extensive technical experience as a web master, flash developer, html coder and database administrator in support. She is a licensed SCUBA instructor, rides a motorcycle, and bakes truly excellent brownies.
David Beveridge
Vice President, Business Development
Dave has over eleven years of experience in e-commerce, online marketing, and business development. At Letstalk.com, the largest independent reseller of wireless products online, Dave lead the user-experience, product development, and marketing teams, and grew revenue five-fold from 2004-2008. Dave has also held senior roles at several leading interactive agencies including ModemMedia, MediaSmith, and Lot21, an award-winning digital agency that was acquired by Carat. Prior to joining Grind Networks, Dave was VP of Marketing, Sales, & Operations at Sportnet. He thinks of nothing except for how to build the Internet's premier vertical comparison shopping engine.
Jeff Kimmel
Vice President, Engineering
With over eight years of web development experience, Jeff oversees all aspects of software development and systems architecture at Grind Networks. In addition to managing the engineering team, he acts as lead software architect and is actively involved in the development and direction of every project. Jeff is skilled in a broad range of web application technologies and is the guiding force behind the development of scalable web architectures in support of our ever-expanding portfolio of enthusiast media properties.
Prior to joining the Grind Networks team, Jeff worked as a software engineer for Raytheon, Intelligence & Information Systems. Jeff holds a bachelor's degree in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State University. Outside of the office, Jeff can be found improving his chops on the drum set, hitting the slopes on his ridiculously large Burton snowboard, or tinkering with the latest way to shave one-thousandth of a second off of the overall user experience.
Adam Miner
Vice President, Finance
Adam oversees all financial and accounting matters associated with Grind Networks' operating, investing and financing activities and manages financial reporting, analysis and forecasting. He joined the digital media world in August 2008 as Director of Finance at Sportnet and subsequently joined Grind Networks in April 2009 in connection with the merger of the two action sports media leaders.
Prior to Sportnet, Adam served as Controller at Wasserman Media Group, a leader in sports and entertainment marketing and consulting where he supervised finance and accounting for the events, sales and consulting divisions. Adam also holds a MBA from The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business, where he focused on finance and entrepreneurship in the sports industry and worked on consulting projects and internships with Major League Baseball, Major League Lacrosse, ESPN and AEG Worldwide. His career began at Deloitte, where he earned his CPA license while climbing to manager, running public and private financial statement audit engagements in the consumer business and financial services industries.
Adam earned his B.A. in Business Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara. He and his wife Callie are the proud new parents of Abby Grace Miner.
